FreeMotion logoFreeMotion Fitness was acquired and established by ICON Fitness in December 2000. It is now a commercial division under that company, however you can purchase their products online. Their division was founded only one year before being acquired by ICON Fitness. FreeMotion is unique because they researched the science of getting into shape before building their machines. This is why their equipment is now considered one of the best ways to train the body.

You may see this brand in many fitness clubs or gyms. It is extremely popular in the commercial aspect. The treadmills are rather expensive when purchasing them for your home. Another problem with FreeMotion treadmills is that there is hardly any to choose from. Currently, the website is offering two different models and they are both $4,900.00. It is difficult to compare treadmills when there is only two to choose from. They also do not have a diverse price range. Anyone who wanted to buy a cheap treadmill would quickly leave their site in disappointment.

The treadmills that FreeMotion offer are expensive, however, they have pretty decent features and specifications that make the price worth it. The motors range from 3.0 CHP – 4.2 CHP. They both have a large running surface and a Surface Response Suspension Cushioning system that will protect your joints. Both treadmills have great features that are already included such as, the iFit Technology, around 30 workout apps, and the SpaceSaver Design. Neither of the treadmills have much of an incline. They both only incline to a disappointing 15%, so if you’re looking for an incline trainer, FreeMotion may not be an option.

FreeMotion is a popular commercial brand that was acquired by ICON Fitness. It holds a great reputation because of the name, but once again ICON Fitness has always lacked in customer service. They are working on improving that, but we are all still waiting. If you want to buy an expensive treadmill that will give you tremendous features and specifications, the FreeMotion line is perfect for you. If you want a basic, cheaper treadmill, I would not recommend looking at the FreeMotion treadmills.
