Healthrider Treadmill Reviews
Healthrider treadmills are manufactured through ICON Fitness. Healthrider was popular in the early 90′s, because they created an exercise machine that would work every muscle group in the entire body. However, since then they have declined in popularity. They still strive to maintain their innovative technology, but many customers do complain about their treadmills, especially because the customer service.
ICON Fitness has always struggled with their customer service department and this worries many people. It is important to give great service to customers who are paying at $1000+ for their machines. People often complain about the service and the limited warranty. The warranty and service of Healthrider treadmills is through ICON Fitness, which may become a process when fixing your machine if their customer service is lacking.
Healthrider is different than the other brands that ICON owns. This brand did not try as hard as the others and most of the parts are made of plastic and electronic components that wear out really easy. This is scary considering the disappointing warranty they offer.
Other than their warranty and slightly lacking build, the treadmills aren’t too bad. They would be ideal for walking and light jogging. You could never sprint on these treadmills because the motor is too weak. Healthrider also provided an excellent Soft Track Tread Belt that is a thicker, foam belt that will absorb most of your joints impacts. This was a brilliant and innovative design, however, they did not provide a strong enough motor to accommodate the tread belt. Many users have complained that the motor tends to wear down too quickly. If you just plan on walking and light jogging, the Soft Track design will be perfect for you and feel nice on the joints.
