  1. For exercise bikes, my wife and I use the Sole SB700 bike at home right now. We swapped out the pedals for clips-ins and use the tablet holder to use either iFit or the Peloton app for spin classes. We also have a fan bike that we use but that is more for quick bouts of high intensity cardio. Happy to answer any other questions you have. Just let us know.
  2. Our top recommendation for manual powered treadmills in the AssaultRunner Elite curved treadmill. We love this treadmill is because it allows you to control your workout and it promotes proper running form. You can take a closer look at our best manual treadmills page to see our list. If you had a different style of motorless treadmill in mind just let us know.
  3. Sorry that happened. Somtimes finding the right fit for taller people is a bit difficult. Which treadmill did you guys go with? Any treadmill that has at least a 60 inch deck length should work great for both of you. Depending on your budget you can check out the Sole F63 or F80, NordicTrack 1750, or the Horizon 7.4 AT. These are great mid-range treadmills when it comes to price. If you have any other questions or need more specific recommendations based on your budget just let us know.
  4. A good rule of thumb is to lubricate your treadmill belt every 3 or about every 40 hours of use on the machine.
  5. The lifespan of a treadmill is hard to say. Ultimately it depends on how well you take care of it and how much you use it. Both the F63 and the F80 have a tablet holder. The F63 would probably be fine for two users at that much use but if you want a little extra power in your motor to withstand two peopl using it, we would recommend the F80. Let me know if you have any other follow up questions.
  6. Great question and we really appreciate your recommendation. We are working on creating more content focused around comparisons to the Peloton Bike and Bike +. Our #1 recommendation compared to the Peloton is the NordicTrack S22i. Another great option instead of the Peloton Bike is the Bowflex C6. This bike has just as much functionality at a fraction of the cost at only about $1000. You can see our video comparison of the Bowflex C6 vs Peloton here. There are a few other bikes that will be worth checking out as well such as the ProForm Studio Bike Pro 22, the MYX bike, and one of Echelon's studio bikes. I'm happy to answer any other questions about these bikes so please let me know. As I mentioned above too, we're working on creating more of this type of comparison content for our website and YouTube so stay tuned.
  7. I think this depends on what you want to do with the treadmill and what your budget is. The Sole F85 has a larger motor which is going to give you more power for heavier use like sprints, long distance running, or multiple users in the house. The F85 also comes with the new updated touchscreen that allows you to access third party apps like Netflix or YouTube which is a big selling point for a lot of people. The F63 is about half the price of the F85 and has a smaller motor and only and LCD screen on the console. The F63 is one of our top rated treadmills for walkers because the smaller motor is great for people who will only be walking on the treadmill. That being said, the F63 can still handle users who jog and run on a regular basis, but for heavy use, we recommend going with something with a little bit larger motor.
  8. Yes this should be an issue for you. The only thing you might want to consider is your stride length. The deck of the Horizon T101 is only 55" so it might be a little bit constricting. I'm 6'5" and it feels a little constricting for my full stride length when running, but if you just jogging, you should be just fine.
  9. Running and walking at an incline definitely increases the intensity of the workout and the calorie burn. There are actually more risks or more impact put on your joints when you run on the treadmill vs walking on the treadmill. You will get a better workout if you run at an incline but ultimately, walking at at incline or just walking in general, is easier on your joints than running will be.
  10. That will depend on the weight limit of the treadmill and how the use fits into that category. Sole treadmills have higher weight limits than NordicTrack treadmills so we would recommend starting there. I think they range from weight limits of 300-375 lbs. The F85 is one of our favorite treadmills from Sole and has one of the highest weight capacities. You can also look at the Life Fitness Run CX treadmill, this has a higher weight capacity as well. If you wouldn't mind providing a little more detail, I'd be happy to try and be a little more specific with my recommendation.
  11. Walking won't be as effective as running but walking definitely has its benefits and gets your body moving. Getting up and walking on the treadmill is going to be better than sitting and not moving your boday. If you're not able to run, then walking will be the next best thing. We actually just published an article about the benefits of walking on the treadmill, we would love for you to check it out!
  12. Great question! Before Covid, NordicTrack offered optional white glove or threshold delivery and to our knowledge they are starting to get back into rolling that out, but only in certain zip codes. We're hoping to see this rolled out more and more but things are still very unpredictable right now. Currently when a treadmill gets delivered, if you can't get the delivery team to bring it into your home. The treadmill will be put at your door step or driveway. You will then need to bring it into your home as a whole or open the packaging and bring it in piece by piece. One thing that is a silver lining here is that you don't have to bring all of the packaging into your home. Our recommendation is to have one or two people there to help you when the treadmill is delivered so they can help bring it into your home. Another option is finding a local services that can come and put the treadmill together for you. This can be a very helpful option. Please let us know if you have any other questions about this process, thanks!
  13. Hi Lisa, great question. We have tested and reviewed the Echelon Stride and haven't had any issues, it's been a great treadmill for us so far. Unfortunately we haven't had much experience with Echelon customer service other than setting up delivery of the Stride and Echelon EX-5s when that got delivered, which went smoothly. Echelon seems to have mixed reviews online for their customer service, but from our experience with their equipment we hope that you won't experience any issues.
  14. Great question! The NordicTrack front drive series ellipticals are actually very compact compared to most ellipticals. Another very compact elliptical is the Sole E25, it has a more compact footprint than comparable ellipticals without sacrificing any stride length. You could also check out the Bowflex Max Trainers or the ProForm HIIT trainers if you're intrested in a hybrid option elliptical. The Max Trainers and HIIT Trainers are probably the most compact option. Please let me know if you have other questions, we're happy to help!
