CJPixie
Will I notice a longer lag time transitioning between speeds with a 3.6 CHP vs 4.0 CHP motor? I know CHP matters when it comes to sustaining higher speeds for long periods, just not sure if it also makes a difference in how quickly the motor can make speed changes, e.g. for doing intervals. Thanks for any insights! Edited February 14, 2022 by CJPixie
Matthew - Guru Team
Great question. There might be a slight speed difference but it would be marginal and not very noticeable. It shouldn't effect interval workouts at all. Are you comparing two specific machines? Happy to share some insight if you'd like.
CJPixie
Thank you for your interest, Matthew! I'm considering the new NordicTrack 2450...love the updated design and features. Not sure why they downgraded the motor from 4.0 CHP to 3.6 CHP, though. If you told me I'd notice a lag , I might just go with the 2950, which apparently is being discontinued and now has about the same price tag as the new 2450. Thanks again!
