Matthew - Guru Team
The Bowflex Velocore is designed to engage your abdominal muscles such as the rectus abdominus and external obliques while riding. Yes it does work. When you ride a bike outside, it requires muscular engagement from your arms, shoulders, abs, hips, and of course legs to keep you upright. When riding indoors, it isn’t as challenging since the bike is stabilized on the floor. The Bowflex Velocore feels more like riding outdoors and requires a bit more engagement from peripheral muscles than a typical fixed indoor bike. While it won’t give you rock-hard abs (only the right diet will do that), it certainly makes riding indoors both more realistic and more enjoyable.
