True Fitness has been creating fitness equipment since 1979. Frank Trulaske, who is the founder and CEO, has grown True Fitness with this mission in mind: “Build the highest quality products and support them with superior service.” True Fitness was also the first company to develop a treadmill with a removable safety key!

True Fitness offers equipment for public and private use. You can find their commercial lineup of treadmills and other fitness equipment in thousands of training facilities, and their residential equipment in homes all over.

What To Expect From True Fitness Treadmills

When you purchase a True Fitness home treadmill, you can expect it to be well-engineered and high-quality. True Fitness’s home treadmills are backed with lifetime frame warranties, include easy-to-use consoles, and come in hearty, non-folding designs. Although they vary in specs and price depending on the series and model, all of True Fitness’s residential treadmills are commercial grade and similar to treadmills used at the gym.

We recommend home treadmills from True Fitness for runners of all fitness levels who are looking for hearty designs that don’t require wifi or a subscription. Thoughtful features like True’s orthopedic belts help relieve the impact on your joints, and “Heart Rate Control” which adjusts the treadmill to keep you within 2 beats of your target heart rate goal, are found on home treadmills from True Fitness.

True Fitness M30 Treadmill

True Fitness M30 Treadmill

The True Fitness M30 Treadmill is the most affordable and lowest-end model in True Fitness’s lineup. Don’t expect any less from this treadmill though. It is made with commercial-grade materials and has a hearty 3.0 HP motor. We anticipate users will get a lot of use out of the M30. It comes with a 30-year motor warranty in addition to the lifetime frame warranty to evoke even more confidence.

The M30 is the most compact at 74” long, but still offers a great running surface that’s 58” x 20”. Users of most running strides should be able to run and sprint comfortably. The deck also has True’s Soft System orthopedic belt which provides comfort every time your feet land on the belt.

The True Fitness M30 is a great hop-on-and-go treadmill that has a 7” LCD screen to display your metrics, provides custom workout modes, and gives you everything you need to get in an effective workout while in the comfort of your home. You even have a designated tray and tablet holder for viewing whatever content you want while you run on the M30.

  • 0-15% Incline
  • 0.5 -12 MPH Speed

  • 300 lb Weight Capacity

True Fitness Performance 300 Treadmill

True Fitness Performance 300 Treadmill

The True Fitness Performance 300 Treadmill has everything a runner could want. Starting with the deck, the True Soft System promotes comfort while encouraging a strong push-off with every step. The 21” x 60” running surface provides plenty of room for runners of all stride lengths and fitness levels.

You’ll have plenty of variety in your training with the 12 mph max speed and 15% incline max. The quick speed and incline buttons allow you to quickly adjust the Performance 300 Treadmill, making it perfect for interval training. All of this packed into a heavy-gauge steel frame makes the True Fitness Performance 300 an impressive treadmill.

The 8.5” LCD screen is centered on the console to be well within sight for viewing your workout metrics and onboard workouts. Although it doesn’t require wifi, you can connect your device to use tracking apps like GymTrakr, and Zwift. Plus, the console is streamlined to accommodate multi-user households as well.

True Fitness Performance 100 Treadmill

True Fitness Performance 100 Treadmill

The True Fitness Performance 100 Treadmill is very comparable to the Performance 300 for a more affordable price. The commercial-grade steel build is very hearty, yet easy to use. The 8.5” LCD screen comes with six built-in workout programs. You’ll of course be able to do heart rate training with the HRC Cruise Control feature and included Polar strap.

The low profile of the large deck makes the Performance 100 easy to step on and off, and more suitable for lower ceilings. The two front transportation wheels engage when the rear of the deck is lifted in order for this treadmill to be moved. We do recommend using it in a designated space because it doesn’t fold but know that it can be moved when needed.

The True Fitness Performance 100 Treadmill is suitable for larger users and appropriate for all fitness levels. Users up to 350 lbs should get a lot of use out of this treadmill. The side handles and added handles on either side of the console come in clutch when you need added balance assist, too.

The True Fitness 950 Treadmill is the premium model in their lineup of home treadmills. Let me tell you, it has some impressive features. The 950 takes the orthopedic cushioning that True Fitness offers and steps it up a notch with adjustability. The True Soft Select feature lets you choose how soft or firm you want the deck to feel underfoot. This way you can mimic pavement to get ready for that road race or opt for softer, depending on your goals.
