Life Fitness has been around since 1968 with its first piece of equipment being the first-ever electronic exercise bike. Located in Rosemont, Illinois, Life Fitness has a goal to help keep people active, and they do so by creating equipment that is found in gyms as well as homes.
Life Fitness is one of the most popular manufacturers of fitness equipment. Most likely, when you step into a gym, you’ll see Life Fitness machines there. They keep this popularity because their equipment is of high quality.
What To Expect From Life Fitness Treadmills
Life Fitness’s expertise in the commercial gym industry extends to their home treadmills. The moment we set foot on their lowest-end model, the Run CX, we had flashbacks to using gym treadmills because of the basic console and extremely sturdy build. We’re also impressed with how quiet the motor is and the low foot noise when we run on the deck.
While some of the other treadmill models offer different consoles with more tech, Life Fitness stays true to its roots with its commercial quality features. So, if you’re looking for a gym-quality treadmill for your home, Life Fitness has you covered.
Overall, they have a wide variety of treadmills depending on your needs, so you’re sure to find a quiet, high-quality option for your home. The motors also are adaptable to work for you and perform how you need them to. Their lifetime warranties also help back up the quality and are one of the many reasons why we like treadmills from Life Fitness.
Life Fitness Run CX Treadmill
The Run CX is the most affordable option in Life Fitness’s lineup. From the moment we assembled it, our team noticed extra steel components under the hood that are built into the frame, making it feel very durable and solid. It has a 3.0 HP DC motor that has a 6.0 HP peak, meaning that it can increase its horsepower to handle your sprints for short periods of time. This makes the Run CX feel like a quiet, workhorse machine.
You’ll have plenty of room on the 22” x 60” running deck, and it’s 400 lb weight capacity can accommodate most users, as well as training levels. The FlexDeck cushioning is pretty firm but has enough shock absorption to lessen the impact on your joints. The foot noise is also really low, even when running and skipping. The Run CX doesn’t fold up so you will need a dedicated space in your home for this treadmill. Find out how the Run CX compares other popular home treadmills on the market.
The console has a large device rack at the top to encourage you to use your phone or tablet while you work out. The console is pretty basic but comes with 15 pre-loaded workouts, 12 custom workouts, and up to 4 different profiles to save your stats. The Run CX is really great if you have multiple people in your household that want to use it.

Life Fitness F3 Folding Treadmill
The F3 Folding Treadmill is the only foldable option at Life Fitness. When unfolding, gas-assisted springs gradually lower the deck to the ground, and when folded wheels engage so the treadmill can be moved.
It has the same quiet and efficient motor as the Run CX with the 3.0 HP (6.0 HP Peak), so you’ll be able to do all kinds of workouts on the F3. The deck is a little smaller at 20” x 55”, so it might not be suitable for runners with longer stride lengths. Walking and light jogging should work for almost all users though.
The F3 also comes with 2 console options. The Track Connect console has up to 4 user profiles, 16 onboard workouts, 12 custom workouts, as well as a large device rack at the top to use your tablet or phone. It also is Bluetooth enabled to connect to third-party apps. The Go console has less functionality with 2 user profiles, 12 onboard workouts, and 2 custom workouts.

Life Fitness T3 Treadmill
Another great option is the T3. It has the same adaptable DC motor as the previous models with a size of 3.0 HP (6.0 HP Peak). The 20” x 60” running surface size as well as the 350 lb weight limit should allow most users to do a lot on this treadmill.
The Flex Deck Shock Absorption is firm underfoot but offers more protection for your joints than running outside on concrete. Although both console options are more basic and lower-tech than some other brands, they each offer onboard workouts to get the job done. They’re also multi-user friendly because they both allow you to have multiple profiles.
The pulse grips are conveniently located in the front for you to easily reach. The T3 treadmill will also remember your preferred speeds for walking and running so you can get right to exercising.
