XTERRA Fitness is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and is owned by Dyaco International. Dyaco was founded in 1989 and they manufacture commercial and home fitness products. They also own Sole Fitness. XTERRA’s mission is to make home exercise equipment that is accessible to users of all levels.

What To Expect From XTERRA Treadmills

Our team really likes that XTERRA’s treadmills are well-built and fold up to provide more storage when not in use. They also don’t require a monthly subscription to use. With so many brands coming out with connected fitness apps that include additional prices, we appreciate being able to hop on XTERRA’s treadmills and just go. Their consoles are more basic and straightforward but come with enough functionality to give you a great workout.

XTERRA offers extensive warranties on their treadmills as well. From our experience testing the most popular treadmill options on the market, XTERRA provides treadmills that feel sturdy and are easy to use. Between their Performance, Sport, and Compact Series, XTERRA has a treadmill to work for pretty much everyone.

Performance Series

All four of XTERRA’s treadmills in their Performance Series feature large weight capacities and motor sizes to accommodate heavier users as well as heavier use. They also offer many onboard workout options, and the higher-end models are Bluetooth enabled so you can connect your phone or tablet and stream whatever you want to.

This line of treadmills was designed with thoughtful, convenient features like lift assist for easy folding, built-in fans within the consoles, and speed/incline adjustments on the handles to make your time spent using one of these treadmills as easy and comfortable as possible. The XTRASoft cushioning is firm underfoot, yet provides enough absorption to protect your joints when running.

XTERRA TRX5500 Treadmill

Xterra TRX5500 Treadmill

The XTERRA TRX5500 is XTERRA’s top treadmill model. Its 10.1” touchscreen features 7 preloaded apps, Bluetooth connectivity, as well as 30 onboard workouts, and manual, custom, and heart rate training modes. You can stream directly from Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, as well as various news outlets once you log into your respective account within each app. You can also mirror content from your phone/tablet to watch pretty much anything. This feature is a great way to take trainer-led classes from third-party fitness apps as well.

The TRX5500 has a 3.25 HP motor that feels hearty and is pretty quiet. The steel frame, uprights, and crossbar make this treadmill solid and sturdy as well. The screen and entire console remain still even while running at high speeds, which users of all sizes can do on this machine. The 20” x 60” deck and heavy 350 lb weight capacity can handle different levels of training and long-term use.

Specs:

  • 0-15 Incline Levels
  • 0.5-12 MPH Speed
  • 3.25 HP Motor
  • 350 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 10.1” HD Interactive Touchscreen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 60” Running Surface
  • 51.2” L x 35.5” W x 56.1” H Footprint

XTERRA TRX4500 Treadmill

Xterra TRX4500 Treadmill

XTERRA’s TRX4500 treadmill has a lot of the same features that the TRX5500 has, but with fewer entertainment options. It is Bluetooth-enabled to connect to third-party apps like Zwift and Kinomap. The console does have a bit more functionality though because it contains quick-touch buttons which make switching between low and high speeds/inclines fast and convenient. We really like these buttons because they make interval training a breeze.

You’ll also enjoy the non-rattling cupholders and device rack that will securely hold your phone or tablet. The quiet 3.25 HP motor and large 60” x 20” running surface can handle running and sprinting. The large 350 lb weight capacity works well for larger users as well.

Specs:

  • 0-15 Incline Levels
  • 0.5-12 MPH Speed
  • 3.25 HP Motor
  • 350 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 7.5” Bright Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 60” Running Surface
  • 77.2” L x 35.5” W x 56.1” H Footprint

XTERRA TRX3500 Treadmill

Xterra TRX3500 Treadmill

The XTERRA TRX3500 treadmill still offers some of the premium features of the TRX5500 and TRX4500. You have plenty of room to sprint and run on the 20” x 60” deck that can go up to 12 mph, and users of all sizes will enjoy this machine because of the hearty 350 lb weight limit.

The motor is slightly smaller, but can still accommodate heavy use. The impressive 30 onboard preset workouts and the custom, heart rate, and manual mode will keep you from getting bored during your time on the TRX3500. Although, if those aren’t enough options you can connect through Bluetooth to third-party apps like Zwift to train, or use your phone or tablet to entertain yourself.

Specs:

  • 0-12 Incline Levels
  • 0.5- 12 MPH Speed
  • 3.0 HP Motor
  • 350 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 6.5” Bright Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 60” Running Surface
  • 77.2” L x 35.5” W x 56.1” H Footprint

XTERRA TRX2500 Treadmill

Xterra TRX2500 Treadmill

Rounding out XTERRA’s Performance Series is the TRX2500 treadmill. Its sufficient 2.25 HP motor, 10 mph max, and 20” x 55” deck make it great for walking and light jogging. The large 300 lb weight capacity and steel frame, uprights, and crossbar also help keep this treadmill stable for heavier users.

While the TRX2500 is the most affordable option in the Performance lineup, you can still choose from 24 onboard workouts and heart rate training, custom, and manual modes. You’ll also get to enjoy the straightforward and easy-to-use console with the included quick touch buttons for even more functionality on this solid machine.

Specs:

  • 0-10 Incline Levels
  • 0.5- 10 MPH Speed
  • 2.25 HP Motor
  • 300 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 5.5” Bright Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 55” Running Surface
  • 77.3” L x 35.5” W x 56.1” H Footprint

XTERRA Sport Series Treadmills

If you’re looking for a treadmill that you can plug in, hop on, and go, then check out XTERRA’s Sport Series line of treadmills. They don’t require wifi to use and come with preset workouts, quick-touch controls, as well as the same XTRASoft cushioning as the Performance Series. It’s on the firmer side but still absorbs impact to minimize stress on your joints.

There’s also a treadmill that can work for everyone, from runners looking to log miles to walkers and joggers wanting a folding treadmill with a hefty, durable weight limit. The Sport Series treadmills also give you the option to stream and read from your phone or tablet on the secure and convenient device rack.

XTERRA TR6.6 Treadmill

Xterra TR6.6 Treadmill

The TR6.6 treadmill comes with a hearty 3.0 HP motor, 20” x 60” running surface, 15 incline levels, and a max speed of 12 mph. Users of all sizes will crush their runs in all of the 6 onboard preset workouts. Manual, custom, and heart rate modes will let you diversify your routines as well.

Along with the welded steel frame, we’re impressed with the heavy 350 lb weight capacity. This is great for larger users and the simple design should work well for users of all fitness levels.

Specs

  • 15 Incline Levels
  • 0.5-12 MPH Speed
  • 3.0 HP Motor
  • 350 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 7.5” Bright Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 60” Running Surface
  • 77″ L x 36″ W x 59″ H Footprint when open

XTERRA TR6.4 Treadmill

Xterra TR6.4 Treadmill

XTERRA’s TR6.4 treadmill will track your speed, pace, incline level, heart rate, calories, and workout time on the basic, easy to reach console. Manual mode makes it easy to jump on and start working out, but the 5 preset workouts and 2 custom workouts will bring some variety as well.

Most users should enjoy walking, jogging, and running on the 20” x 58” running surface, although runners with long strides may want a longer surface to run faster on. The large 325 lb weight capacity, 2.75 HP motor size, and 12 mph max speed are impressive on this more budget-friendly model. Adding in that it folds up and can be moved with its transportation wheels, makes the TR6.4 a solid option.

Specs

  • 12 Incline Levels
  • 0.5-12 MPH Speed
  • 2.75 HP Motor
  • 325 Lb. Weight Capacity
  • 6.5” Bright Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 58” Deck
  • 75.2” L x 35” W x 54.1” H Footprint

XTERRA TR300 Treadmill

Xterra TR300 Treadmill

The TR300 treadmill is the most affordable treadmill in XTERRA’s Sport Series lineup. Keeping up with the hearty-ness and solid build of XTERRA’s other treadmills, the TR300 has a 300 lb weight capacity and welded steel frame. Most users will find that the 10 mph max speed and 10 incline levels are plenty sufficient to get in a good workout and stay active.

The 20” x 55” deck is also great for walking and light jogging. Plus, you’ll get the most out of this machine with its 24 onboard workouts that are preset to adjust the treadmill for you. You can even switch between 3, 6, and 9 incline levels and mph for fast adjustments and added convenience.

Specs

  • 10 Incline Levels
  • 0.5-10 MPH Speed
  • 2.25 HP Motor
  • 300 Lb. User Capacity
  • 5.5” Blue Backlit LCD Screen
  • Folds up with Lift-Assist and Safe Drop
  • 20” x 55” Deck
  • 72.2” L x 35” W x 54.1” H Footprint

XTERRA Compact Treadmill Series

XTERRA’s Compact Series make getting active indoors really accessible with their super budget-friendly, and smaller footprint designs. Don’t worry, you’ll still get to take advantage of XTERRA’s impressive features because even their compact line has large weight capacities, excellent motor sizes, quick touch buttons, and inclining capabilities. Their compact deck sizes also make them best for walking and light jogging.

XTERRA TR150 Treadmill

Xterra TR150 Treadmill

The TR150 has a nice 2.25 HP motor, 16” x 50” deck, and goes all the way up to 10 mph. You’ll also be able to vary your workouts with 12 onboard programs and 10 quick touch speed buttons. You’ll get some variety with the 3 incline levels that you manually adjust yourself.

The device rack lets you use your phone or tablet, too. We suggest that most users use this treadmill for walking, although if you have a shorter stride you might be able to get in some light jogging as well. This treadmill is currently only available at Amazon.
