Freemotion i22.9 Incline Treadmill
The 400 lb weight limit and 21.5” x 60” deck are ideal for users of all sizes and fitness levels. The motor that inclines and declines the i22.9 is industrial grade to handle 1,500 lbs of force. The Freemotion i22.9 is a whopping 750 lbs, so it’s a tank that needs a designated space. However, if you need to, there are swiveling transportation wheels to move it.
This Freemotion Incline Trainer has a lovely 22” touch screen that displays iFIT classes. iFIT offers trainer-led classes filmed indoors and out. We love using iFIT for well-rounded training and taking outdoor classes filmed on every continent on Earth. The added quick-touch buttons are super convenient.
iFIT is a subscription-based platform, but the i22.9 includes a free version of iFIT. If this isn’t your thing, we recommend looking into the Freemotion i10.9b Incline Trainer. Instead of a touchscreen, the i10.9b has a simple bright green digital display on a black background. There are quite a few onboard programs, including fitness tests. iFIT is not accessible from the console, but you can pair a phone or tablet with the iFIT app for more training options.
The i10.9b will automatically adjust with iFIT when paired with the app. A monthly subscription is required to access iFIT’s trainer-led classes. You won’t have access to iFIT features like ActivePulse or third-party apps.
The i10.9b is best for exercisers who want incline features but aren’t as committed to joining iFIT.

The console is not a touchscreen. If you want to access iFIT’s thousands of training programs, you will have to do so on a phone or tablet. The treadmill will automatically adjust to follow the program’s preset levels. You cannot access the Google Maps feature or use ActivePulse. Most of the iFIT features are usable.
The console also has heart rate monitoring, a crossflow fan, and USB charging. The Precision Quick Speed buttons allow you to jump from speed to speed or incline to incline level. If you press two numbers in quick succession, you set the speed to the tenth.
