The NordicTrack T 7.5 S's affordable pricing doesn't stop it from having features like a 3.0 CHP motor, a 20" by 60" belt, adjustable cushioning on the deck, and other high-quality features.

If you browse NordicTrack’s website, you will find running treadmills and (somewhat) affordable treadmills. Unfortunately, these treadmills are not the same. For regular running, we are looking for a treadmill with a 3 CHP motor and a 20″ x 60″ minimum running surface.

The NordicTrack T 7.5 S Treadmill meets our requirements for a few hundred dollars less than the next NordicTrack running treadmill. You’ll have to hop over to Amazon for this machine, but don’t go anywhere yet! You need to learn what concessions you’ll have to make for this lower price point.

Our experts have tested almost every NordicTrack on the market, so we aren’t newcomers to the brand or the iFIT training content. For more information, read this review of the NordicTrack T 7.5 S Treadmill.

Two features drew me to the NordicTrack T 7.5 S Treadmill. The first is the iFIT training content, which improves my treadmill experience. I used to avoid the treadmill because my workouts felt stale. iFIT reinvigorated my workouts by guiding my training and automatically adjusting my speed and incline when I wouldn’t on my own.

The second feature that I like about the T 7.5 S Treadmill is its compact folding. Its hydraulic folding mechanism assists you with the folding and unfolding process. This treadmill is there when you need it and out of the way when you don’t.

These two features are the perfect justification for selecting the NordicTrack T 7.5 S Treadmill, but there are other features (and a lot more to learn about iFIT). Scroll down for more information to solidify your confidence in choosing this treadmill or sway you to another machine altogether.

Investigating Every Treadmill That We Come Across

Unfortunately, we don’t always get every treadmill into our studio. When this happens, we rely on our knowledge of dozens of other machines to fill in the gaps. We are treadmill experts, so we can help you discern what spec and feature lists actually mean.

Fitness experts, coaches, athletes, and exercise enthusiasts comprise our team. We dutifully research and evaluate every machine. We have almost every NordicTrack treadmill and use iFIT regularly. We aren’t just treadmill experts; we might be NordicTrack experts, too.

Editor’s Note 7/12/2024: We expanded our NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill review to give you a better idea of its performance and build. We also added a comparison chart to ease your shopping process.

Dimensions/Storability

The ability to fold a treadmill up is critical if you don’t have a lot of floor space for it. Luckily for you, the T 7.5 S can fold up easily, thanks to the EasyLift Assist built into it. Once the deck is folded up out of the way, the footprint of the treadmill measures 35.5″ wide, 39.5″ long, and 71.5″ tall.

That’s pretty reasonable for storage purposes. And to unfold the treadmill, you just push up on the deck a little and press the release lever. You can step back and allow the treadmill to unfold on its own as it can descend gently to the floor.

Onboard Workouts & Apps

A specialty feature you will find on the T 7.5 S is a smart HD touchscreen. This touchscreen makes it far easier to learn how to use your new treadmill, as all it takes is simple taps and swipes to get the treadmill to respond. Plenty of other treadmills without touchscreens can lag in how responsive they are, but the T 7.5 S treadmill is quick to respond to your input.

7″ Smart HD Touchscreen

To make your workouts more immersive and the treadmill easier to use, the NordicTrack T 7.5 S comes with a 7″ smart, HD touchscreen. While a little on the smaller side, the touchscreen is just as effective as a larger one as you navigate on this treadmill, as it is very responsive even if your hands are sweaty from working out.

iFIT

When it comes to using a treadmill, it can be tough to be consistent, especially if your workouts feel stale.

For one thing, iFit offers new workouts on a daily basis to help you try something new with your workout routine. These workouts may be a Google Maps run, taking you through a park in Sweden or some other destination, or you may go on a run with an iFit trainer to help you push your fitness to the next level.

If none of the daily workouts appeal to you, search the iFit library. This library has over 16,000 different workouts, including runs, walking tours of historical spots, HIIT, studio workouts, and a ton of cross-training exercise routines that target the rest of your body, either on or off the treadmill. With so much to do, your T 7.5 S treadmill won’t turn into a coat rack.

Fan

One of the simple benefits of the T 7.5 S treadmill is the built-in fan. Working out at home with a treadmill can make a room muggy and uncomfortable, but with the fan, you can keep the air circulating. You can either set the speed of your treadmill fan or allow it to go on auto and allow it to match your workout intensity.

Build Quality

Deck

Some runners worry that treadmills will cause them to lose their edge when it comes to road races, as treadmill cushioning like the kind you find on the T 7.5 S is great at absorbing part of the impact your body takes as you run.

But with this treadmill, you can use the FlexSelect cushioning to control exactly how much cushioning is active. By turning the shock absorbers under the deck, you can use the FlexSelect cushioning to increase the cushioning or make the deck more firm.

Durable Treadmill Belt

If you haven’t owned a treadmill before, you may not realize why it’s important to have a tough and durable treadmill belt. But since treadmill belts can be a weak point on a treadmill, either by fraying, losing traction, stretching out, or other issues, it is essential that your treadmill belt be a strong one.

That’s why it’s so handy that the T 7.5 S comes with a commercial treadmill belt. This belt can take far more intensive workouts over a longer period of time than the average treadmill belt.

Motor

The NordicTrack T 7.5 S treadmill comes with a 3.0 CHP commercial plus motor. This strong motor can power you through whatever type of treadmill workout you want, from providing a smooth ride as you walk to powering you through a tough interval sprint workout.

The motor is very responsive. The range of speed you can reach on this treadmill goes from 0.5 up to 12 miles per hour, which is an ideal range that allows you to do everything from walking workouts to intense HIIT routines.

You also have a good incline range on the T 7.5 S and can go from 0% up to 12%. By including incline into your treadmill workouts, you can burn calories faster and push your fitness to the next level.

Warranty

You also can enjoy strong warranty protection as you use the T 7.5 S for your regular workouts, as long as you register the warranty with NordicTrack. Once it is registered, you have a 10-year frame warranty, 2-year parts warranty, and a 1-year labor warranty.

Should You Buy the NordicTrack T 7.5 S

There are plenty of things to rave about regarding the NordicTrack T 7.5 S treadmill. It is a compact, affordable treadmill that manages to come with engaging fitness features like an HD touchscreen and iFit. You also can enjoy the smooth action of the strong 3.0 CHP motor, which helps power you through a variety of workouts.

With so many things going for this treadmill, it is no surprise that many people have found that the T 7.5 S is their ideal treadmill, whether they are casual walkers or regular runners.

NordicTrack T 7.5 S Treadmill FAQ’s / Q&A’s

Is the NordicTrack T Series discontinued?

No, the NordicTrack did not discontinue the T series. However, it is currently available through Amazon, not the NordicTrack website.

Is the NordicTrack T Series good for running?

The NordicTrack T Series is good for light to moderate running. Runners who train high mileage daily on the treadmill should consider an upgrade to the Commercial series.

How long do NordicTrack treadmills last?

We’ve heard of treadmills from all brands lasting ten years and longer. A NordicTrack treadmill can certainly last this long. However, users should remember to be diligent in maintaining the treadmill. Additionally, treadmills with high-tech features are susceptible to more tech issues than low-tech treadmills and should be kept indoors out of extreme temperatures.

What is the weight capacity of the NordicTrack T 7.5 S?

The NordicTrack T 7.5 S treadmill has a 300-lb weight capacity, which meets the industry standard but is 100 lbs less than the NordicTrack Commercial series’ rating.
